"Light in The Tunnel" is a TV show of social substance that has received awards from social organizations and holds a salient position in the Guinness book of records. It is running for the 16th year on ALTER CHANNEL, hosted and coordinated by journalist Aggeliki Nikolouli.

During the multihour broadcast we search for fellow human beings who went missing under unusual circumstances and their disappearance was reported to the police.

We emphasize the disappearances of children and helpless elderly persons.

Through the experience of our long running show and particularly through the methodical and persistent investigation, we have found that a lot of cases, which are presented as simple disappearances, are really staged crimes. (We have thrown "Light in the Tunnel" on such stories).

In our site we list persons who have disappeared during specific periods. We would like to ask for your help by contacting us if you know anything about them. During these years of broadcasting, in more than 616 emissions with the assistance of our TV viewers, more than 1379 persons have been found.

From this year "Light in the Tunnel" uses much more the power of new technology and internet. This segment has found its way around the world, because it brings together families which were separated and scattered during the difficult Post War years. In the Russia, United States, France, Denmark and elsewhere, more than 241 missing persons have been found. In the relevant dates, you will find details regarding such cases.

The social value of this broadcast, through its web site in the Internet, has been recognized internationally by the Union Consult a.f.b.i (independent social agency, which is supported by the European Parliament). In the meantime, "Light in the Tunnel" has been awarded with 19 prizes from organizations, magazines and others. The TV show is collaborating with six countries - Russia, Italy, Holland, Albania, Malta and Denmark. Extended references for "Light in the Tunnel" have been made by the Russian and Japanise public television.  


Aggeliki Nikolouli is a journalist with 29 years experience in print and electronic journalism. She is the first woman reporter covering police stories in Greece, who has come up with revelations on issues such as spy stories and hijackings, beyond the boundaries of our country.
She started her career with the newspapers Observer and Responsibility of Pyrgos, and Opinion and Peloponnese, of Patra. She then worked as a reporter for Apogevmatini and Ethnos on Sunday, as well as for the magazines Eikones and Epikaira. She was also, an editor at Elftheros Typos for many years.
She was ispired by and worked with well-known journalists Christos Pasalaris and John Boultepsis. Aggeliki Nikolouli first appeared on TV 18 years ago with shows involving research and finding missing people.
